Hanger Hustle · Last updated October 21, 2026
Hanger Hustle is a small web app that helps a vintage clothing reseller keep track of items and write listings. This page explains what happens to your information.
Where your data is stored
Your items, photos, prices and notes are stored on your own device, in your browser's storage. They are not sent to us. We don't run a server that holds your inventory.
If you choose Sign in with Google, the app also saves a backup copy of your items and photos in a hidden app folder in your own Google Drive (Google's "appDataFolder"). Only this app can read that folder. We, the developers, can't see it.
What the app asks Google for
- Basic profile (
openid, email, profile): your name, email address and profile picture, to show who is signed in. - Google Drive app data (
drive.appdata): to create, read, update and delete the app's own backup files in that hidden folder. The app can't see or change your other Google Drive files.
Your Google sign-in token stays in your browser on your device. You can sign out in the app at any time, and you can remove the app's access at myaccount.google.com/permissions. To delete the backup itself, open Google Drive → Settings → Manage apps → Hanger Hustle → "Delete hidden app data".
The app's use of information received from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
What we don't do
- No ads and no ad tracking.
- We don't sell, rent or share your data.
- No analytics or tracking scripts.
Links to other sites
Buttons like "Open Poshmark" or "Search sold comps" open other websites (Poshmark, eBay, Depop, Vinted, Mercari, Etsy and others). Those sites have their own privacy policies. The app doesn't send your data to them; you choose what to paste or upload.
Hosting
The app's files are served by GitHub Pages. GitHub may log basic technical information (such as IP addresses) when the page loads; see GitHub's privacy statement.
Deleting your data
Deleting an item in the app deletes it on your device, and from your Drive backup the next time it backs up. Clearing your browser's site data removes everything stored on the device.
